More Health for the Money at the Global Fund

Overview

A 2013 CGD working group report featured recommendations for the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria to get more health for its money. Ongoing engagement has led to a number of pilots of results-based grant-making, including Cash on Delivery aid models. Further, CGD’s work has informed the Global Fund’s new Equitable Access Initiative that may have an impact on allocation policies in the future. A follow-up CGD report, Aligning Incentives, Accelerating Impact: Next Generation Financing Models for Global Health, has been well received by the Global Fund and health policy leaders.
