At the Center for Global Development, we are studying what works to promote women's financial inclusion, including new evidence on the impact of digital technologies, and are working to engage the private sector to identify opportunities and implement the findings—all with the goal of reducing the global gender financial gap. This research informs She Counts, a CGD partnership with the ExxonMobil Foundation and Women's World Banking.

Over 1 billion women lack access to financial services due to economic and social barriers, time and mobility constraints, and discrimination in service provision. Financial services delivered digitally can address these barriers by providing women with safe and accessible channels. This event will look at the recent evidence and emerging technologies that work to empower women economically.
